This was the eight year that Prospect Recreation & Park District has sponsored this popular family fall festival that was held at the Fairmount Park in October. TMCF joined other environmental and cultural exhibitors including Jeffco Open Space, Colorado Wildlife Federation, Majestic View Nature Center, Master Gardeners and Trout Unlimited, just to name a few. Free pancakes and sausage, tractor drawn hayrides and free pumpkins and pony rides for children drew many families to the event.

This was TMCF first booth at the Pumpkin Fest and it was delightful to talk with numerous people about the preservation and stewardship of the Table Mountains. Fairmount Park is in the shadow of North Table Mountain, thus the interest in the stewardship of the Table Mountains is high. One of the key discussion points was informing people about the draft Management Plan for South Table Mountain which can be viewed on Jefferson County Open Space website at:
